Our Black Dwarf

As soon as he was old enough young David was sent to work helping his father in the slate quarry.  During the hot dry days of summer it was very dusty with all the rocks and digging.  At the end of each long day David’s face would be darkened with sweat, dust & grime.  It was then he was given the nickname . .
